GRANITE FALLS, NC (April 22, 2017)…Dudley Shoals Road from US 321A (downtown Granite Falls) to Wike Road will be re-surfaced in the very near future. The NCDOT has completed the resurfacing in other areas of Caldwell County on NC 90/US 64, US 321, and NC 268 but still have striping to do on all of these routes as well as having to replace snow plowable markers where they were removed. Dudley Shoals Road will also get milled prior to resurfacing, but officials feel certain that they will pursue that work the way they did on NC 268 – mill & fill. NCDOT also told us that there will be weekday work restrictions that will take place from 7:00am to 8:30am and that work may take place on Saturday’s and Sunday’s.
Another portion of Dudley Shoals Road will also be resurfaced…Bowman Road to Morris Creek Road.
