Dudley Shoals Baptist Church Announces 5th Annual Tyler Sims Memorial Endure Event

DUDLEY SHOALS, NC (September 13, 2019) — Dudley Shoals Baptist Church is once again hosting the Tyler Sims Memorial Endure Event, which includes a 5K trail run and an obstacle course “soldier run” for both adults and children and registration is now open.

The event was renamed in 2015 in memory of Tyler Sims, who died in an accident while cycling to work in Hickory from his home in Granite Falls in early August of 2015.  Sims was an active member of Dudley Shoals Baptist Church and served on a number of committees, including the Endure Event Committee.

The event is set for Saturday, September 28 and will be held at Sims Country BBQ, in the Dudley Shoals Community of Granite Falls.   The day’s activities will include:

5K Trail Run

Registration Fee: $20

Jr. Soldier Run (Ages 5-12)

Start Time: 9:45 a.m.
