BOONE, NC (June 13, 2019) — Every year the town of Boone celebrates the legacy of Doc Watson with his own day. The Jones House organizes friends of Doc as well as new talent on the scene to honor Doc’s contributions. Friday, June 21, the music begins at 4 pm. Featured are long-time collaborator Jack Lawrence with Patrick Crouch, good friend Charles Welch, new young talent, The Burnett Sisters and The Jeff Little Trio. Jeff is known as the piano man of the Blue Ridge. He grew up in his father’s music store where Doc was a frequent visitor. From the horse’s mouth as they say!
