UPDATE (February 15, 2023) — Missing Oak Hill Woman Found

Update 11:30 a.m. — Crews found Nina Davis conscious and alert this morning around 11 a.m. approximately 300 meters from her home.

Caldwell County Emergency Services was assisted by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office as well as crews from Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, Sawmills Fire Department, Grace Chapel Fire Department, Linville Central Rescue, Watauga County Emergency Management, North Catawba Fire and Rescue, Little River Fire Rescue, Hudson Fire, Patterson Fire, Department of Corrections, Boone Fire, NC Highway Patrol, Gamewell Fire, and Granite Falls Fire.


Update 6:30 a.m. — The search for Nina Davis was suspended overnight and resumed at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15. Mutual aid from Search and Rescue Teams in neighboring counties has been requested.


LENOIR, NC (February 14, 2023) — Emergency crews are actively searching for an 81-year-old woman missing from the Oak Hill Community of Caldwell County. 

Nina “Nu-Nu” (pronounced new-new) Davis was last seen on Rebel Run in Southeastern Caldwell County. She was wearing a black cardigan and blue jeans. 

Davis has grey hair and blue eyes and suffers with advanced-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Her direction of travel is unknown.
