Connelly Springs man arrested for kidnapping…victims located in Mocksville, NC not Knoxville, TN
LENOIR, NC (August 30, 2017)…On August 30, 2017 at approximately 5:18 pm the victim’s mother contacted the Lenoir Police Department in reference to a potential kidnapping of her daughter and granddaughter. The victim and her daughter were traveling in her vehicle when the suspect allegedly took the victims against their will with the use of a firearm in the roadway of Jason Place Lenoir. The suspect and victims left the scene in the victim’s black in color, Toyota Tundra.
During the investigation Officers learned that the victim and suspect were involved in a past relationship. Officers of the Lenoir Police Department obtained information of a possible location in the area of Mocksville, North Carolina. Within minutes of relaying the information to Officers with Mocksville PD, the vehicle was located at a gas station near I-40 in Mocksville, NC. Watson fled the location on foot upon approach by Officers. At approximately 8:45 pm Primm and her one year old daughter where located safely inside the vehicle.
At approximately 12:30 am The Lenoir Police Department was notified by Officers with the Mocksville Police Department that they had taken Zachary Scott Watson into custody in the nearby area he fled on foot. Watson was transported to the Lenoir Police Department for felony processing. Processing is underway at the time of this release and bond information is currently not available.
