CCC&TI’s campuses collect relief supplies for victims of Hurricane Harvey

HUDSON, NC (October 2, 2017)…Students on both of CCC&TI’s campuses recently led an effort to collect relief supplies for victims of Hurricane Harvey. I’ve attached photos from both the Caldwell Campus and Watauga campus, and included captions below. Thanks in advance for any coverage you can provide for our students’ efforts.

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s TRIO/Student Support Services (SSS) hosted a #ShoesForHouston drive throughout the month of September, in partnership with Fleet Feet Sports in Hickory, for victims of Hurricane Harvey. Collection centers were set up at multiple locations on the Caldwell Campus in Hudson and the Watauga Campus in Boone. The drive collected approximately 70 pairs of shoes and 50 pairs of socks for Houston hurricane victims. TRIO/SSS provides opportunities for academic development, assistance with basic college requirements and motivation toward the successful completion of post-secondary education.
