LENOIR, NC (March 2, 2017)…Dr. Mark Poarch, President of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, visited Valmead Elementary School in Lenoir on Thursday for Read Across America 2017. A group of first- and second-graders sat quietly while he read Dr. Seuss’s “What Pet Should I Get?” The group also asked questions about his job at the college and enjoyed CCC&TI-themed cupcakes prepared by Culinary Arts students from the college.
