NEWTON, NC (February 12, 2024) ⇒ Catawba County Veteran Services is hosting a community resource event for veterans February 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Catawba Valley Community College’s Workforce Solutions Complex, located at 2550 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory. Participating organizations include Catawba County Veteran Services, Veterans Helping Veterans, Carolina Caring, Veterans Treatment Court, Veterans Services of the Carolinas, and other organizations that assist veterans with immediate and future needs.
The event will feature two screenings of The Veteran’s Battlefield, a documentary that explores veterans’ challenges in North Carolina and how communities are working to support them, in partnership with the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC).
The two film screenings will take place at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and will be accompanied by hosted community discussions.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Veteran’s Battlefield was produced by NCACC’s 100 Strong Productions.
