Cataloochee Ski Area Snow Report for Saturday, December 17, 2016

MAGGIE VALLEY, NC (December 17, 2016)…Cataloochee Ski Area SNOW REPORT for December 17, 2016.

Date: 12/16/16 Time: 11pm Weather: 36 degrees

Night skiing is back! On Saturday will be skiing from the top of the mountain down on ten out of eighteen slopes with 2 aerial lifts and one conveyor lift operating on a base of 28-50” and machine groomed surface.

We will offer three sessions of skiing, day skiing from 8:30am until 4:30pm, twilight skiing from 1pm until 10pm and night skiing from 6pm until 10pm with a morning or afternoon half day rate also available. Night skiing begins tonight and continues each night 7 days a week with the exception of Christmas Eve, no through the rest of the season. Holiday rates begin Monday, December 19 and are in effect through Friday, December 30.

Tube World located in Maggie Valley, across from Ghost Town in the Sky, four miles from the ski area will be open from 10am until 10pm with 1 hour 45 minute sessions available beginning at 10, 12, 2, 4, 6, and 8pm. Cost for tubing is $25 and you must be 42″ to ride alone. There is no two person tubing at Tube World.

Our rental shop in Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski & Sports, is open daily. Be sure to stop there for your discounted rentals and all accessories you might need prior to your day on the slopes.

Don’t forget that if you have not made up your mind to purchase your season pass at Cataloochee, the lift ticket you purchase today can be upgraded to a season pass…using the cost of your lift ticket you have already purchased against the price of your pass. You just pay the difference

Also, don’t forget if you have a current season pass to any other area, you can bring your pass to Cataloochee and receive $10 off your day’s lift ticket.

We remind you to be aware of changing ski conditions and use caution. Natural and manmade obstacles exist and snowmaking and grooming activities are routinely in progress. Please use control and ski or ride only on designated slopes and trails and please call this number anytime for current skiing conditions.
