LENOIR, NC (August 17, 2017)…Why Walk in our WALK-4-Life 2017?
Five years ago, a young woman came into our center hurt, alone, and pregnant. We worked with her through 3 pregnancies over the years. She came back to us just this year with her 4th pregnancy, and to be honest, we were not quite sure what to do differently with her. Praise God! God knew what to do! Through us loving her and sharing with her some hard truths about her life she rededicated her life to Christ and is holding herself to a higher standard of living FOR Christ. Not only has this young woman changed but her boyfriend and father of her baby has received help and is on the road to recovery from alcohol and drug abuse. During his recovery time, he accepted Christ as his Savior and is dedicated to being a Godly father and husband!!
Four months ago, a woman came to us with an unplanned pregnancy. She was worried about how she would raise her child on her own financially. She had dreams that may go unfulfilled of what her perfect family would look like. She was carrying around emotional hurt from past abuse, and she was not a Christian and didn’t know the Lord as her Savior. Today, she has a plan for her pregnancy and the birth of her baby and through parenting lessons, Bible study, and peer mentoring she has earned items that will help reduce the financial burden. She has realized that, although her life is not as she had once dreamed she has the power to make it a wonderful life for her and her precious baby through better decision-making and choices. With our help, she has received healing from her past abuse and is able to, if not forget, forgive and receive healing through Jesus Christ. Above all, she is now a child of God!! She accepted Christ as her Savior in our counseling room and received the best gift we could give her. Through Christ she is a new creation, and she will be a better mom!
Just this week, a young couple came to us scared and emotionally distraught. She was pregnant, and due to the timing and circumstances in their life, they both felt a baby would be too much of a burden. They were seeking information on abortion. We shared the wonderfulness of life in the womb and the baby’s developing body; we also shared with them the devastation of abortion and the heartbreak that comes along with that decision. All of this was done in a very loving, non-judgmental environment. In the end, they chose life!! After giving this young couple a tour of HOPE’s closet she said to me with tears in her eyes, “I am so glad we found this place.” Not only was a precious baby’s life saved, but a mom and dad do not have to live with the emotional, physical, or spiritual devastation that abortion brings.

God is at work! He is using Caldwell Pregnancy Care Center to make a difference. I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, September 16, 2017 as you WALK-4-Life with us and become a part of our clients’ stories!!
