Caldwell Heritage Museum program for Wednesday, March 27th

LENOIR, NC (March 24, 2024) ⇒ With America 250! not too far around the corner, what better way to begin an early segue into that season of celebrating our nation’s 250 birth year in 2026 than having historian and author Bob Plott share with us the rumblings of unrest and revolution that led to us becoming a nation.

Join historian and author Bob Plott on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 @ 10:00 a.m., for his program, “A Gathering Storm” as he discusses many relatively unknown reasons for unrest in the Carolina colonies that precipitated the Revolutionary War. Some of these issues began as early as 1761, and involved a host of colorful characters, including among others, British Generals, freed slaves, American frontiersmen and iconic Cherokee warriors and chiefs. Plott, using material from some of his six books and multiple other resources, skillfully weaves this story into an interesting blend of education and entertainment.”

If you haven’t heard Bob before, you are in for a treat!

We are located at 112 Vaiden Street SW, Lenoir, NC 28645. We can be reached at 828-758-4004 or via email at caldwellheritagemuseum1841@gmail.com.

While we do not charge for programs, we do ask you to consider a donation of $5. This helps us continue the mission of preserving our history and keeps the doors open for visitors, researchers, schools, and all who enter our doors to enjoy and use our resources. We have a great slate of programs coming between now and July and would love to have you stop by to be part of those.
