LENOIR, NC (June 7, 2017)…The Caldwell Heritage museum will present its next Coffee with the Curator, “Seven Hills of Lenoir,” presented by Judge Beverly Beal. The one-hour program is scheduled for 10:00 A. M, Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Museum located at 112 Vaiden Street, in downtown Lenoir.
Judge Beal has chosen seven hills of the city that represent the history of the city through the land title history, the development and use of the properties, and the historical implications of each parcel. In preparing this program, the Museum’s research library, the large digital photo library, and interviews with local residents have been used to recreate the events that have occurred in regard to each hill.
Judge Beal is a retired Superior Court judge. He is a volunteer at the museum, and served as interim Director in 2015. He is a native of Lenoir.
The presentation is open to the public. Coffee and pastry will be provided. A contribution of $5.00 is requested, but not required.
