Caldwell County water cleared for normal use in Collettsville area

LENOIR, NC (January 3, 2018)…Caldwell County water customers in the Collettsville area may resume normal usage of their water after testing shows it is clear.

Residents were advised to use bottled water or boil water for consumption after a major water line break on Collettsville Road and Abington Road and side roads on December 29.

Over 300 residences were without water for a day while crews worked to repair the lines. After a large repair, water is tested to make sure that there is no bacteria in the lines.

This water main break did not affect City of Lenoir water customers.
