Caldwell County SWAT and Narcotics Officers Make Arrest

LENOIR, NC (September 12, 2018) — Sheriff Alan C. Jones has announced on September 11, 2018, two individuals suspected of trafficking methamphetamine have been arrested and put in jail.  At approximately 10 am, SWAT and Narcotics Agents executed a search warrant at a residence located at 214 Hillside Street in Lenoir.  Michael Wayne Walker, age 37, and Adam Curtis Clark, age 30, were subsequently taken into custody without incident.   The Sheriff’s Office Ice Unit and Lenoir Police Narcotics conducted the investigation that lead to the search warrant.   The search warrant was issued after undercover purchases of methamphetamine were made from the residence along with other pertinent information.

Agents searched the home and located approximately 210 grams of methamphetamine packaged for sale, $7,649 in cash, drug ledgers, a small amount of marijuana, and other items of drug paraphernalia.   Agents suspect the two were working together and are responsible for distributing pounds of methamphetamine throughout Caldwell County.  Agents report the drugs seized has a street value of $31,500 according to North Carolina Guidelines.  The investigation is continuing.

Walker was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond on the drug charges.  He has a first appearance in District Court in Lenoir on September 13, 2018.
