CALDWELL COUNTY, NC (December 9, 2017)...Here is an update from Caldwell County about the snow storm.
· Around 1000 power outages across county. Primarily due to the weight of the snow on trees causing them to fall.
· No injuries or major events have happened.
· Primary roads are mostly clear but wet and drivers should be on the look out for black ice.
· Secondary roads are still snow covered.
The Granite Falls branch of the Caldwell County Public Library is closed today due to staffing constraints. The main branch of the library in Lenoir is operating on a normal schedule and is still hosting the holiday party with Santa until Noon today.
