Caldwell County Deploys to Jones County
LENOIR, NC (September 17, 2018) — A contingent of Caldwell County’s Incident Management Team (IMT) has been activated, at the request of North Emergency Management, to augment the local IMT in Jones County, following Hurricane Florence.
The team, comprised of members from Caldwell County Emergency Services and Blowing Rock Fire & Rescue, has been deployed to function as an Overhead Team to support the citizens and personnel in Jones County, NC.
“Caldwell County is fortunate in that we are able to offer a capable, multi-disciplinary contingent of personnel to function in support of the local IMT already in place,” said Chief of Caldwell County Emergency Services, Dino DiBernardi. “The team is tasked with augmenting the capabilities of the existing command structure within the County and assisting with providing trained personnel for resource tracking, incident stabilization, EOC operations and other identified needs. We will assist in any way possible to support the existing emergency services in the region, our area was largely spared from the effects of the storm and it is our turn to give back to the State which we serve.”
