LENOIR, NC (December 29, 2017)…Crews with the Caldwell County Water Department are working to fix a major water line break at 2468 Collettsville Road.
— Over 300 Customers Will Be With Out Water Most of the Day—
Customers on the Collettsville Road and Abington Road as well as all side roads will be without water until the break is fixed. Repairs are expected to take most of the day and possibly into the night.
Reported early this morning, the break is a major, 12-inch water line and it is believed to have burst due to the cold temperatures.
Crews are on site now and are having to use heavy equipment to dig out the line as it is laying in rock. Drivers should take care traveling in the area due to the large equipment and the water that is running across the road this morning.
