Caldwell County Commissioners will host a public forum for widening of highway 321

LENOIR, NC (October 2, 2017)…The Caldwell County Board of Commissioners will host a public forum for citizens to give their feedback on plans to widen Highway 321 from Lenoir to Hickory. The forum will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, October 16, in the auditorium, at the J. E. Broyhill Civic Center, at 1913 Hickory Blvd. SE, in Lenoir.

The public is invited to give their comments on the proposed plans from the North Carolina Department of Transportation, (NCDOT) for the widening of Highway 321 from Highway 321-A in Caldwell County to Highway 70 in Catawba County.

Citizens are asked to arrive early and sign up to speak at the forum. Speakers must be signed up in order to be heard. Depending on the number of speakers, time could be limited to three to five minutes per speaker.

In addition to the Board of Commissioners, attending will be representatives of the NCDOT. Also invited to attend are Congressman Mark Meadows of the 11th District, NC; Senator Deanna Ballard, District 45, NC and Representative Destin Hall, District 87, NC.
