Blue Ridge Energy Offers Tips for Propane and Fuels Customers

LENOIR, NC (January 28, 2019) — Cold temperatures are in this week’s forecast and this typically leads to higher demand for propane and fuels.

Blue Ridge Energy Propane and Fuels delivery personnel are continuing to work long hours, making deliveries to ensure all customers stay warm and comfortable. We’re also offering the following tips to help propane and fuels customers be prepared:

  1. Consider signing up for auto-fill delivery if your propane and fuels provider offers it. With this delivery type, Blue Ridge Energy fills your tank based on your typical usage patterns while also tracking heating degree days which factor in higher need times such as the cold weather coming up! Blue Ridge Energy’s routing system tracks estimated usage so your delivery will occur timely and ensure you are ready for cold weather.
  1. We encourage will-call customers (those who monitor their own usage and tank levels and call to request a fuel delivery) to place their order when their propane tank is between 25 to 30 percent full. This typically allows delivery personnel sufficient time to schedule and make your delivery prior to your tank running low.
