Blue Ridge Energy Board Members Honored for Years of Service at NC Electric Cooperatives Annual Meeting

LENOIR, NC (June 6, 2018)…Three officials from Blue Ridge Energy were recently recognized for their years of commendable service to the electric cooperative at the annual meeting of North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives in Raleigh, NC. Those honored for their service include:

  • Doug Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, 40 years
  • David Eggers, Caldwell Board Member, 15 years
  • J.B. Lawrence, Watauga Board Member, 15 years

North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives is a family of organizations that support the 26 electric cooperatives located throughout the state, including Blue Ridge Energy.

These not-for-profit, member-owned cooperatives provide reliable, safe and affordable electricity to 2.5 million North Carolinian’s in 93 of North Carolina’s 100 counties. They are also committed to delivering new energy solutions and improving quality of life in the communities they serve.
