Blowing Rock Chamber Previews WinterFest 2017

BLOWING ROCK, NC (November 28, 2016)…The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce, which organizes WinterFest, has announced highlights of the 19th edition of the annual event, which runs from Thursday, January 26 through Sunday, January 29, 2017.

New for 2017 is a Friday evening Ice Stroll to view all the lighted ice sculptures in front of business in Downtown Blowing Rock after dark. In addition, local restaurants will be offering special comfort foods on the Friday of WinterFest.

Daily events include WinterFeast on Thursday; Cocoa and Canvas and the Ice Stroll on Friday; Polar Plunge, Snowflake Parade, kids activities, comfort food, ice carving demonstrations, WinterTastings and Auction on Saturday; and WinterPaws on Sunday. WinterFest, which has been named a AAA “Top Pick” and a Top 20 Event by Southeastern Tourism Society, is sponsored by Hendrick Northlake Luxury Auto Mall.

Blowing Rock is accessible from anywhere in the region, less than two hours from Charlotte and Greensboro, three hours from Knoxville and Raleigh and five hours from Atlanta and Charleston.
