HICKORY, NC (August 7, 2017)…“We are pleased to be able to offer in-house pet blood profiles for an affordable price during the monthly vaccine clinics,” said Jane Bowers, executive director at Humane Society of Catawba County. “We believe that early detection of potential problems though wellness screening ensures a long, healthy life for your pet. The blood profiles offered will give general wellness figures as well as screening for diabetes, nutritional deficiencies and much more,” continued Bowers. The upcoming clinic dates are Friday, August 11th, Friday, August 25th and Friday, Sept.8th. Clinics are from 1-5:30pm at the Hickory shelter. Visit catawbahumane.org for additional pricing. To make an appointment for vaccines or tests, call (828) 464-8878, Monday through Saturday from 11am to 6pm. Heartworm, flea, and tick prevention are available for purchase during normal business hours. HSCC and Foothills Spay/Neuter Clinic services are available to any member of the public and are not limited to residents of Catawba County.
