RALEIGH, NC (July 11, 2019) — Attorney General Josh Stein today asked North Carolinians who are concerned about robocalls to sign a petition to share their frustrations.
“When I travel around North Carolina, I regularly hear about people’s problems with unwanted calls,” said Attorney General Josh Stein. “Hearing from you will help me fight for people’s privacy and peace of mind. If you are concerned about robocalls, please sign this petition.”
Attorney General Stein is leading a bipartisan coalition of 40 state attorneys general to stop or reduce annoying and harmful robocalls. They are disruptive and can lead to scams and fraud. A better understanding of North Carolinians’ concerns will help guide Attorney General Stein’s conversations with industry leaders.
The petition is available to sign at http://ncdoj.gov/robocalls.
