Artists-in-Schools Program “Charlotte’s Web” by Wind & Woods Productions

LENOIR, NC (October 28, 2016)…As part of the Artists-in-Schools Program, the Caldwell Arts Council, JE Broyhill Civic Center and Caldwell County Schools present Wind & Woods Productions with “Charlotte’s Web”

Two performances will be presented to over 1,800 students on Thursday, November 10, at 9:30 a.m. and at 12:30p.m. at the JE Broyhill Civic Center.

This musical version of “Charlotte’s Web” features local talent and is adapted from E.B. White’s classic children’s book. Young farm girl Fern Arable saves an irresistible young runt pig from the farmer’s ax and names him Wilbur. Wilbur goes on to make new friends among the barnyard animals, including Templeton the rat and his new best friend, a spider named Charlotte, who saves Wilbur’s life for a second time. This uplifting story teaches us about true friendship, honor, and sacrifice.
