Travel Advisory
The North Carolina Department of Transportation has urged North Carolinians to avoid traveling to Western North Carolina. There are over 1,600 NCDOT employees and contract crews working to clear roads and provide relief in the region. Limiting travel will help emergency responders and utility crews more efficiently provide aid to residents in those communities. If you need to travel to Western North Carolina, you can coordinate plans through the North Carolina Emergency Business Emergency Operations Center (NCEM-BEOC). Send an email with the subject line “Logistics Support” for assistance to:
BEOC@ncdps.gov
