2AA Football Championship game still on
LENOIR, NC (December 8, 2017)…The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has affirmed that the 2AA Football Championship game this Saturday, Dec. 9, Hibriten High School vs. East Duplin High School, 3:00 P.M. at UNC-Chapel Hill in Kenan Stadium will continue as scheduled.
Gates open at 1:30 pm, kick-off is slated for 3:05 pm. Gate #6 is the designated main entrance for Hibriten High fans. The Education Foundation Inc. of Caldwell County sponsored two activity buses for Hibriten students to travel to the game on Saturday.
Admission is $10 per ticket at the gate. All tickets are general admission and children 5 years of age and under get in free. Presale tickets are available online at NCHSAA.
UnitedHealthcare and the NCHSAA have teamed up to fight hunger at the 2017 NCHSAA Football State Championships. Hibriten High fans are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to the State Championship Game and donate in the designated bins to help those in need.
Bins will be labeled with the schools participating in the State Championships. The school that collects the most food items will win $500 for their school.
