Special Exhibits at the Granite Falls History Museum

GRANITE FALLS, NC (January 6, 2017)…There will be a special display of vintage advertising and promotional products at the Granite Falls History and Transportation Museum during the month of January.  Exhibits include posters, scrapbooks, copies of The Granite Falls Press, and various company logo give away items such as calendars, pencils, key chains, cigarette lighters, a cushion, a Pillsbury® Doughboy toy, etc.  The items will be featured through Sunday, January 28, 2018.

Beginning Saturday, February 3rd, the museum will promote the Burgess Chapel Church Foundation by displaying memorabilia and historical items from the former church and the church community.  The last day of this exhibit will be Sunday, February 25th.

Located at 107 Falls Avenue, the museum is open on Saturdays from noon until 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 2 until 4 p.m. except the weekend holiday weekends.  For example, we will be closed January 13th and 14th due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Persons who wish to tour the museum at other times may call the Town Office at 396-3131 to make arrangements.
