LENOIR, NC (March 27, 2019) — Sheriff Alan C. Jones has announced a marijuana dealer previously arrested and convicted by the Ice Unit was again busted with marijuana. On March 26, 2019, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office Ice Unit and Detectives executed a search warrant on the premise of Robert Alan “Hub” Nichols located at 3477 Playmore Beach Road in Lenoir. The search warrant had been issued pursuant to several undercover purchases of marijuana from the residence. Agents searched the residence and located 426 grams of high grade marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia. The street value of the marijuana is $10,650 according to North Carolina Drug State Guidelines.
The following individual was arrested and charged with the listed crimes:
Robert Alan Nichols, W/M, age 54
3477 Playmore Beach Road
Lenoir, NC
- One (1) Count Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana.
- One (1) Count Felonious Maintain a Dwelling to Keep/Store a Controlled Substance.
Nichols was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond on the charges. He has a first appearance in District Court in Lenoir on March 28, 2019.
Nichols was arrested back in 2017 as well…
