HICKORY, NC (May 11, 2017)…It is our great pleasure to announce that Dr. Jake Turrentine will be joining The Skin Surgery Center in June 2017 at our Hickory and Morganton locations.
Dr. Turrentine is an exceptional clinician with a breadth of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He has special interests in contact dermatitis, psoriasis, skin cancer, and disorders of hair and nails. Dr. Turrentine also has significant experience with lasers, soft tissue fillers, chemical peels, and botulinum toxin. He is dedicated to practicing evidence-based medical and surgical dermatology to optimize patient outcomes.
Dr. Turrentine is a graduate of the University of Georgia where he was a Foundation Fellow Scholar, and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas followed by Dermatology residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. During his final year of residency, he served as Chief Resident, and was recognized by his peers and mentors with awards for Leadership, Humanism and Professionalism, Cognitive Excellence, and Clinical Excellence. Most recently he served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Medical College of Georgia.
