Did you know that right now in many states across the U.S., it is not a felony to drive drunk with a child in the car?

MADD (December 17, 2016)…Did you know that right now in many states across the U.S., it is not a felony to drive drunk with a child in the car?

I find this truly appalling, and I am sure you feel the same way. But you can protect children from this terrible crime by asking your governor to support a stronger DUI Child Endangerment Law today.

In 2012, 239 children were killed in alcohol-related crashes, and more than half of them were passengers in a vehicle with the drunk driver. This potentially deadly choice puts children in just as much danger as any other type of violence, negligence, or abuse. And it simply can’t be tolerated…

That’s why I need you to take action today. Click here to sign a petition to Gov. Patrick McCrory in support of a stronger DUI Child Endangerment Law. This legislation will implement science-based solutions to help keep our children safe.

Thank you for speaking up for those who can’t speak for themselves. Together, we can end drunk driving and save thousands of innocent lives.

Children are one of our most vulnerable populations, and it’s our responsibility to protect them from this senseless violence. Please ask your governor to support a tougher DUI Child Endangerment Law today.
