Blue Ridge Energy Line Technicians Responding to Increasing Outages

LENOIR, NC (December 8, 2017 – 9:30 pm)…Outages began climbing for Blue Ridge Energy members as heavy, wet snow continued falling this evening, bringing down trees and limbs onto power lines.

Line technicians are working in full force tonight to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

As of 9:30 pm, 714 Blue Ridge Energy members are impacted, primarily in Caldwell County where 662 members are without power. Most are in the southern end of the county, including the areas of Dry Ponds Road, Grace Chapel, and Dudley Shoals. Outages are also impacting Kings Creek, Happy Valley and Patterson.

In Alexander County, 22 members are impacted in an areas near the Caldwell County line. Another 20 members in Wilkes County are affected as well as 10 in Watauga County.
